I want to be able to produce fiber on my property.  Hemp is illegal of course, so I've read up about flax.  Flax looks quite labor intensive, and also I would not have much space for it each year.  I have yucca, which can make cord, but I want to make clothing not just rope.

I began Saturday morning by washing both Harley Beau and Princess.  This occured on the back step, with a half gallon jug of soapy water and two gallons of rinse water.  House Fae fussed at Harley for rolling in the dust immediately afterwards.

Talk about a triple whammy...  The ground is subsiding, they're not getting natural silt deposits because of flood control, and the ocean levels are rising.
